OVERVIEW

Executive overview:
Universal Dog is an internet broadcast network that produces a weekly series of breed specific radio programs in a 90-minute downloadable MP3 format for listeners on the internet. Each episode contains 6 different segments which will include a general discussion on the breed, training issues, health, genetics, food, diet, grooming, activities, rescue, licensing and micro chipping.

How will the show be delivered?
Standard MP3 audio internet broadcast techniques in a download format will be offered in the initial stages of Universal Dog launch. Universal Dog will be implementing an interactive component in 2008. This will enable the interviewers and hosts to interact live with the audience via a 1-800 number, email, IM and other technical modalities that are currently being investigated.

Is Universal Dog radio an entertainment or educational program?
Universal Dog is not an entertainment program. It’s purely educational.

 
   
   

What will be the focus of the show?
Each show will include educational information about all aspects of dog ownership in a breed specific format exploring topics such as training issues, health, genetics, food, diet, grooming, activities and rescue. The show will also include issues such as licensing and micro chipping and also provide a forum for discussion on other topics of interest to the general dog owner.

Where does the content come from?
Experts that represent the 6 different segments from the top breed clubs will be interviewed via telephone by our hosts.

The breed clubs and Universal Dog
The breed clubs’ mandate is to promote their breeds using accurate information from creditable sources. The radio shows content is derived from interviews with the top experts from each one of the breed clubs and veterinarians.

Beyond the initial broadcast date
Unlike traditional media such as television, radio or print, the content that is broadcast by Universal Dog can remain on the server and can be access by listeners anytime by means of “On Demand Listening”. A new puppy and dog purchaser or even potential dog purchaser can listen to a particular episode of Universal Dog radio broadcast as reference material.
