ABOUT US ~the Community & Radio TEAM:
Virginia Storey, Universal Dog Co-Host

Virginia Storey is no stranger to the entertainment business. From a very young age she has performed as a singer and lead guitarist in many professional recording acts and had the great fortune to be signed to such record labels as A&M Records, Geffen Records and Capitol Records as a recording artist and songwriter.

In 1989 Virginia started a career in the post-production film and television industry as a foley artist. She has been nominated for many accolades which including the Genies, Gemini’s Golden Reel and recently an Emmy Award. Her ongoing film/TV credits can be seen at www.imdb.com – search “Virginia Storey”.

Born out of her life long love of dogs, Virginia produced what ended up being an extensive series of videos on a specific breed of dog in 2001. This video series, included extensive study, preparation and in-depth interviews with noted authorities Fred Lanting (FCI Judge, author of “Canine Hip Dysplasia” and “The Total German Shepherd”, aka Mr. GSD) and the late Dr. George A. Padgett, DVM (Specialist in Canine Genetics- Professor of Pathology at Michigan State University).

Her next video project was with a very promising dog trainer who had a unique and comprehensive dog raising/training method applicable to all breeds. Virginia completed the production of a full 90 minute video, “Puppy for Life” with Sam Malatesta that covered everything from the choosing of a puppy to the care of a senior dog.

Virginia is currently a webmaster of a few dog related websites, including being part of a team in the process of building an online breed database. She also has a strong interest in, and love of all breeds of dog. “I love to talk to people about their dogs because nothing else on earth gets them as happy or excited. Having personally shown my dogs to their championships, understanding the importance of health testing before breeding, and having a bit of fun with the odd herding title, I am a good owner. This experience has enabled me to ask good questions".

“I offer my creative skills and my honest interest in all things canine to Universal Dog”.
